What happened at Oscar Awards 2023
The 95th Academy Awards took place on Sunday, where Hollywood’s brightest stars were recognized for their exceptional work.
The film “Everything Everywhere All at Once” dominated the night, receiving 11 nominations and taking home seven awards, including the prestigious titles of Best Picture and Best Director. Michelle Yeoh, the movie’s lead actress, made history by becoming the first Asian woman to win the Oscar for Best Actress. During her acceptance speech, Yeoh expressed her gratitude and emphasized the importance of chasing one’s dreams, regardless of age or gender.
Other nominees for Best Actress included Cate Blanchett for “Tár,” Ana de Armas for “Blonde,” Andrea Riseborough for “To Leslie,” and Michelle Williams for “The Fabelmans.”
Following closely behind with four Oscars was “All Quiet on the Western Front,” while “The Whale” earned two awards, including Brendan Fraser’s win for Best Actor.
