How to watch FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifying England vs Poland:Two of Europe’s top teams face off in the World Cup qualifiers.
It was a summer of heartbreak for the English national team. The European Championship hopefuls, buoyed by a wave of support from their home fans, were ultimately left disappointed as they fell to the Italians in the penalty kick shootout of the finals.
Their eyes are now squarely focused on the ultimate prize, however. The World Cup will take place late next year in Qatar, and England are now tasked with racking up the remaining few points needed in order to earn their place in the tournament.

England captain Harry Kane will lead a famously youthful team. While some claim that the inexperience of players like Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Buyako Saka are what lead to their defeat in the Euro 2020 final, it is likely that they carry their valuable and newly-won cache of experience into their World Cup campaign. As they enter their mid-twenties and beyond, in what is usually the peak of any career in football, this will become essential to their future success.
While it’s the Real Madrid superstar Robert Lewandowski that leads Poland’s national side, it is a mistake to overlook the talent on the rest of the team. It was Adam Buska, for example, that scored a stunning hat-trick against San Marino on Sunday, two of which came in stoppage time after an already comfortable lead.
His time to shine may arrive again on Wednesday, in what is a must-watch for any fans of European football.
England are firmly in control of their World Cup qualifying group but face their toughest test in Group I when they face Poland tonight.
They will face one of the in-form players in world football in Robert Lewandowski, who will captain Poland after missing their 2-1 defeat at Wembley back in March.
Lewandowski has played six games for club and country this season and the Bayern Munich star has scored in every one.
Seven of his 10 goals this term have come for Bayern and although the striker is 33, his club put a £100million-plus valuation on him this summer in an attempt to price him out of any potential move before his contract expires in 2023.
Without Lewandowski, who was injured, Poland ran England close in their first World Cup meeting in Group I in March, losing 2-1 at Wembley only after a late Harry Maguire goal.

England, of course, have not been short of goals of their own in this international period putting four without reply past Hungary and Andorra to continue their 100 per cent record in qualifying.
Although the Poles did thump San Marino 7-1 on Sunday, the goal they conceded, after a blunder among their defence, was the first the minnows had scored in a competitive game since November 2019.
