West Ham predicted XI vs Leicester City

West Ham predicted XI vs Leicester City: West Ham started the season with a fantastic 4-2 win over Newcastle United and will be aiming to continue their fine form this evening against Leicester City.

The Hammers welcome the Foxes to the London Stadium and will be playing in front of a capacity crowd at home for the first time since February 29, 2020.

Despite the three points at St James’ Park question marks remain over the Hammers defence with David Moyes’ backline having conceded 18 goals in their past 12 Premier League matches.

West Ham are yet to strengthen in defence this transfer window so the key decision Moyes will have to make is whether to stick with the Craig Dawson/Angelo Ogbonna partnership or bring in Issa Diop.

Moyes could opt to include Diop alongside Dawson and Ogbonna if he switches to a back three but the manager is expected to go with an unchanged line-up to the one from St James’ Park.

This would see Lukasz Fabianski remain in goal with neither Newcastle goal a goalkeeping error there is no reason to hand Alphonse Areola his much-anticipated debut just yet.

The Hammers lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation against Steve Bruce’s side with Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice providing a defensive screen and the drive to take possession up the field. The pair will once again link up this evening.

In front of the duo, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen are most likely to occupy the wide left and right positions respectively with Said Benrahma playing in the number ten role.
