The men’s 400m race saw the Bahamas’ Steven Gardiner win gold with a time of 43.85. Colombia’s Anthony Zambrano came in second, with Grenada’s Kirani James crossing the line in third.

At 22 years old, Luka Doncic’s international record was already the stuff of legends. With 16-0 in games he has played internationally with Slovenia and a spotless record against opponents like France until Thursday night when Les Bleus handed him his first loss to book their place in the Olympic final versus USA. Nicolas Batum made an awe inspiring block that left all Slovenian players on the floor as they failed to take advantage of what could have been incredible opportunity for them had it not been blocked by one man: Mr. Nicolas Batum from France!

Spanish karateka Sandra Sanchez has secured gold for her country after beating Japan’s Kiyou Shimizu in the women’s kata.

The US women’s national team might not be playing in the Olympic final, as was their pre-tournament target, but they beat Australia 4-3 to win Olympic bronze.

Kevin Durant hit game-winning three pointers and clutch free throws to lead the USA into their fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal.
10:00 CEST: India end 41-year wait for a medal
India’s hockey team came away with the bronze medal in hockey at the Tokyo Olympics, which brings to an end their 41-year wait for a medal. India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, sent out a congratulatory tweet to the players.
